How Microsoft Teams Works with Resource Central and Digital Sign Service

BLOG__How-Microsoft-Teams-Works-with-Resource-Central-and-Digital-Sign-Service

Looking for a true hub for digital collaboration? Microsoft Teams is a game-changing collaboration platform in Office 365 combines workplace chats, meetings, notes, and attachments. It even includes extensions that integrate with non-Microsoft products, so you can customize your workspace in accordance with the way you work.

Microsoft Teams enables you to build a more engaged and effective team. You can get everybody on the same page with online meetings, group chats, and calls, and easily share and collaborate on files with built-in Office 365 apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Both Resource Central and Digital Sign Service integrate with Microsoft Teams.

Book Microsoft Teams Meetings in Outlook

If you want to book Microsoft Teams meetings from your Outlook calendar, click the Team Meetings button when you create a new meeting. This will generate a link to join the meeting from Microsoft Teams that you can send to attendees via email. You can carry out the usual one-step ordering process through Resource Central to order catering and other services for your meeting.

Book Meetings and Order Services from Microsoft Teams

The integration between Outlook/Resource Central and Microsoft Teams goes both ways. From the Microsoft Teams application, you can see meetings you’ve booked, join meetings, and chat with participants. After a meeting is done, you can view and/or listen to the meeting recording in Microsoft Teams. If applicable, a video of the online portion of the meeting will be recorded so you can watch it later.

You can also set up new meetings from within Microsoft Teams and follow the two-step ordering process in Resource Central from Outlook. To get started, simply click the Schedule a Meeting button in the lower left corner of the Microsoft Teams interface, enter your meeting details, and select your meeting room.

You can book meeting rooms at your location from within Microsoft Teams. If there are meeting rooms that you want to book at other facilities, they won’t show up on the list but you can manually add those meeting rooms to the “Invite people” tab. You need to know exactly which meeting room you want to book in order to do this, however.

A confirmation email will then be sent to you via Outlook. You can open Resource Central from there and order catering and other services you need.

Digital Sign Service Integration

If a meeting you book through Microsoft Teams takes place in a physical meeting room, the meeting you book will automatically be displayed on the digital sign at the specific meeting room you booked.
