Streamline Call Center Booking with a Group Calendar

Streamline Call Center Booking with a Group Calendar

Many companies use internal call centers and service desks to set up appointments with new and existing customers. For instance, a bank may use its service desk to schedule meetings between customers and financial advisors. It is essential for call centers to use a group calendar that displays employees’ schedules in real-time, so their representatives can easily schedule appointments. A group calendar that integrates with Microsoft Outlook® gives call center and service desk staff the ability to book an appointment directly in an employee’s Outlook® calendar. Benefits of Using a Group Calendar at a Call Center/Service Desk Let your call center or service desk easily schedule appointments with clients and customers A shared group calendar provides a user-friendly overview of multiple Microsoft Outlook® calendars, making it possible

Free Up Time for Revenue-Generating Tasks with an Outlook® Room Booking System

Free Up Time for Revenue-Generating Tasks with an Outlook® Room Booking System

It’s no secret that excessive business meetings can waste time and hurt productivity, but less attention is paid to how much time organizations waste on the process of booking those meetings. According to a survey of 1,500 managers and administrative staff members at companies in Europe and the US, businesses waste approximately 4.8 hours per week scheduling meetings. This amounts to six weeks spent scheduling meetings each year. That wasted time could be used to provide better customer service or perform other revenue-generating tasks. Many companies continue to rely on outdated methods to coordinate meetings, such as phone calls and emails. This back-and-forth communication is tedious. Without a streamlined booking system, it is also time-consuming to determine which meeting rooms are available and to check the availability of

Team Calendar Outlook®: The Benefits of Using a Group Calendar

Team Calendar Outlook®: The Benefits of Using a Group Calendar

When Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer banned telecommuting at the company, the Internet was up in arms. Yet, despite this high-profile decision to limit remote working arrangements, the practice of telecommuting continues to gain ground. According to an Ipsos/Reuters poll, one in five workers around the globe telecommute frequently and nearly 10% work from home every day. Advances in technology have made it possible for employees to work efficiently without always being at their desks. In fact, studies have shown that properly managed telecommuters are more productive than full-time, in-office workers. A key tool that enables companies to effectively manage remote workers and coordinate team projects is a web-based team calendar for Outlook®. A team calendar for Outlook® keeps remote workers and employees who are frequently on the road

Guest Registration Outlook®: Do You Know Who’s in Your Building Right Now?

Guest Registration Outlook®: Do You Know Who’s in Your Building Right Now?

Many companies still have their visitors sign into a paper guestbook in the reception area. For safety reasons, however, a growing number of organizations are using electronic visitor management systems to automate the sign-in process and control and monitor guest access. An electronic visitor management system, such as a tool that allows for guest registration through Outlook®, can help you manage all incoming and outgoing visitor traffic and make the visitor sign-in process more efficient. Visitors are screened using a computer rather than a sign-in sheet or guestbook. Electronic visitor management systems allow you to check-in, badge, and register visitors that enter your building. A receptionist can gather information from guests, check their photo IDs to verify their identity, and provide them with high-quality visitor badges in

Thank you for a busy TechEd North America

Thank you for a busy TechEd North America

I’m back in the office from an amazing week at TechEd North America in Houston. I’m not sure what everyone else thought, but from an exhibitor’s perspective, I think the show was as busy as it was in the good old days. The Expo hall was full of traffic all 4 days, even during the last couple of hours on Thursday. If this keeps up, we may need some more staff working the booth next year. Let me apologize to anyone who we didn’t get to speak with due to the overwhelming traffic. Unfortunately I did not get to attend any sessions this year, but from what I heard on the Expo floor, most people thought they were quite good. It is always nice to go back to
