RealTime Service can be utilized in two different ways:

  • As a stand-alone solution which, from a central point, synchronizes data from the individual Outlook mailboxes / folders into either a Public Folder on the Exchange server or a Microsoft database

    When data is synchronized a label is added to each data entry - hereby generating a possibility to track the origin of the appointment, contact or task.

    The service is designed as event-driven, which ensures a minimum of load and a high performance.

 

  • As an event-driven back-end update service for our client-based group-calendar solution: Exchange Central

    RealTime Service complies with the original Microsoft security procedures and also with the permissions granted on the Exchange server and the Outlook permissions.

System Requirements for RealTime Services:

  • 256 MB of RAM
  • Intel Pentium III 800 MHz or a similar CPU
  • 200 Mb hard disk space available for the software installation
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (SP4) or higher or SQL Server 2005 Express)

RealTime Agent:

  • Windows 2000 SP4, Windows Server 2003 SP1 or higher
  • Exchange 2000 or higher
  • .NET Framework 3.5
  • Microsoft Message Queuing

RealTime Service:

  • Windows 2000 SP4, Windows Server 2003 SP1 or higher
  • Microsoft Message Queuing (if real-time data collection mode is used)
  • .NET Framework 3.5
  • Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) 1.0
  • SQLxml 3.0 SP3

RealTime Manager:

  • Windows 2000 SP4, Windows Server 2003 SP1 or higher
  • .NET Framework 3.5
  • Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) 1.0

RealTime Service working in interval mode also supports Exchange 5.5.
